石针

茶花不耐寒，在多伦多无法在户外过冬。

今年有了coldframe，于是奢望变成了希望，开始了解茶花。

在美国的一家茶花批发网站上，了解到茶花的耐寒品种还在不断培育当中。已经有zone 5的品种了。不知道什么时候才能来到多伦多？

在Camellia Forest Nursery买了几种“可能”比较耐寒的品种的种子。昨天收到，今晚泡上，准备明早种在育苗盒里。在泡之前，用锤子打开小口，以便水分渗入。想起了腊梅。
希望能在几周后发芽，几年后开花。








发芽了，一定会有记录，请继续关注。

我去年栽种的发芽了, 但是都倒伏了. 我放在西南房间窗前的位置, 已经是我家阳光最好的位置了. 今年再试试, 也借你吉言!!

Can Camellia Forest Nursery ship the seeds to Canada? I will try. I just ordered 30 fresh camellia sinensis seeds from ebay.ca. If I received, I will send you 10 seeds. I hope to drink green tea from the plants.

When I germinated the seeds last year, I used nutcrack and peeled hard cover. I left the soft cover.

I will wait to see your results. Thank you!

Thank you for your offer. I just regretted I didn't order C. sinensis.

Did you seed them right after received them? I cracked the seeds shell but not peeled off the hard cover. I seeded them in the room temperature. Is it OK or I should move them into frig for two months?

I soak them right away after I cracked them. Just soak from 3 hours to overnight. I used room temperature. They sprout with one week.

I live in Waterloo. I can mail the seeds to you once I receive the seeds from China.

I also plan to visit some of the nurseries at Niagara area in May. Hopefully they carry hardy Camellias.

I feel the hardy kind of camellia called Camellia japonica 'Spring's Promise' looks like Camellia-chekiangoleosa 浙江红山茶.

我也是刚入门。盆栽应该没问题，“南方”的花嘛。我是不准备室内盆栽的，如果不能在外面过冬，就算了。
