我是去年登陆的新移民,很幸运,找到了一个在华人玻璃厂的工作,虽然很辛苦,但我没有怨言,毕竟没有在加拿大的工作经验。
可是不幸在二个月后给辞退了,接着,又找到一份新的工作至今, 但由于金融风暴,生意不好,我也想趁此机会再读书充电,决定申请EI,于是找到前一家公司老板,让他给开Roe(工作时间证明),可是老板说已经过去了大半年时间,不能给我开,是这样的吗???
我对这个老板也很感恩,毕竟这是我到加拿大的第一份工作,虽然是累脖工,但起码让我找到自信。
求各位给我这个苦人儿出出主意吧,有其他的方法能证明吗。。。跪求各位了。。。 :confused:
Who can apply for EI benefits?
You can apply for EI benefits if you have paid into the EI account and you are unemployed.
You can receive regular benefits if you lost your job through no fault of your own, for example, due to shortage of work, seasonal or mass lay-offs. How, where and when to apply
To find out if you can receive EI benefits, you must submit an application for EI online or in person at your Service Canada Centre, even if you received or will receive money when you become unemployed or if you do not have your record of employment (ROE).
You must request your Record(s) of Employment (ROE) from your last employer as well as from any employer(s) you worked for in the last 52 weeks. Submit your application as soon as possible whether or not you have your ROE(s).
[U]If you are having difficulty obtaining your ROE(s) from your employer(s), we can help. Go to your Service Canada Centre or contact us at 1 800 206-7218. One of our agents will advise you how the ROE can be obtained or what is needed to calculate your claim.[/U]
If you are applying for maternity, parental, compassionate care or sickness benefits, you should apply as soon as you stop working.
[U]Delaying in filing your claim for benefits beyond 4 weeks after your last day of work may cause loss of benefits.[/U]
