you better chooose [U]self-direct [/U]  which is more flexible.  You can control your own money anytime. Since when you want to redeem or transfer the money in cash, you do not need to pay the penalty. The self-direct RESP can be opened in any banks or financial investment groups.

it is good for you to open an [U]self-direct RESP [/U]  plan and do the investment under the plan since you can get at least 20% from CRA(maybe 25% depend on the family financial situation)

这个还是要根据具体家庭情况与个人情况来定。如果有一定的理财知识，并且喜欢高回报，能够承受损高风险，那可以选self-direct的RESP。

如果追求比较稳妥的回报（6%左右），能够屡行长期承诺，那选择scholarship类的RESP会比较适合你。
