GMAT中的虚拟语气（下）

第二类的虚拟语气为：表示主观、推测、建议、命令和要求的动词所引导的宾语从句中，从句的谓语要用动词原型。这样的动词有：order, mandate, advise, demand, insist, recommend, suggest, motion(提议)。
例如：The school board ruling mandating that physically handicapped students be placed in regular classroom settings whenever possible also assured all children who have a reading problem of special aid
A, be placed in regular classroom settings whenever possible also assured all children who have a reading problem
B, should be place in regular classroom settings whenever possible also assured all children that have a reading problem.
C, are placed in regular classroom settings whenever possible also assures those children who are having reading problems
D, be placed in regular classroom settings whenever possible also assured all children with reading problems.
E, should be placed in regular classroom settings whenever possible also has assured all those children with a reading problem.

题解：根据mandate that 后面的宾语从句要用虚拟语气—谓语用动词原型，A,D符合，assure sb with sth 表示在某方面确信，为固定词组，因而D为正确选项。
注意：suggest, insist 等词，不表示主观的 建议，要求，命令时，宾语从句中不需要用动词原型做谓语，而应根据句子中的时间状语，谓语用适当形式。
例如：The rise in the Commerce Department’s index of leading economic indicators suggests that the economy will continue to expand in the coming months.
第三类的虚拟语气为用wish和if only的主观愿望（多数是难以实现的）
1，        用wish或if only表示现在的主观愿望。
例如：I wish / If only Teasa were/was here now.
要是特萨现在在这儿就好了。
I wish / If only the sun were/was shining at this moment.
但愿此刻阳光灿烂。
注意：Hope +一般现在时或将来时所表示现实的愿望。
例如：I hope he is on time. I hope he won’t be late.
我希望他准时。我希望他别迟到。
2，        用wish或if only表示对过去的主观愿望。
例如：I wish / If only I had been here yesterday.
要是我昨天在这就好了。
I wish / If only you had let me know earlier.
要是你早点让我知道就好了。
第四类的虚拟语气为It’s (high) time 和 It’s about time表示的虚拟语气。
例如：It’s high time he was taught a lesson.
现在是该教训他的时候了。
It’s about time he learnt to look after himself.
现在是他学会照顾自己的时候了。
注意：比较it’s time 的用法。
例如：We’ve enjoyed the evening, but it’s time for us to go.
今晚我们过得很愉快，不过我们该做了。
