"今年市选，选民是什么心情？老百姓对市长苗大伟引入的土地转让和汽车登记两大新税本来就已不满；而市府从这当中搜刮来的金钱，又被大手大脚地花掉了，以至每当做预算时，便危言耸听、漏洞巨大，好像日子过不下去了，物业税将增加10%到20%。老百姓不胜其扰。市议员们则熟视无睹，习以为常。(newstarnet.com)

但真正触痛市民的，其实并不是什么大事，就象尊贵的左翼思想者将福特的不花纳税人金钱作为办公经费的事情视为小事一桩，触痛市民也是那些小事：一，市议员们冻结了市府非工会成员官员的工资，但却给自己加薪2.42%。人们说伪君子，太虚伪了；二，某市议员吃官司花了律师费，其他同道为他策划由纳税人报销。此时幸亏媒体揭发，否则就付诸实行了。(newstarnet.com)

因此，当福特提出多伦多市议会的“揩油列车”必须停驶，立刻打动了广大劳动人民的心。能登上揩油列车的必是关系户、有头脸的家伙们，劳动人民如果一旦登上那滚滚向前的揩油列车，也立时自动丧失劳动人民的地位了。这样的竞选口号，虽然没有远大的目标、高尚的理想、深沉的理念，却仍能帮助福特贴近百姓，获得共鸣。(newstarnet.com)"

sure you have right for voting whoever you like, no one can force you including me, so even you go to vote for stupid FORD I am still ok because it is your human right as same as I am going to to vote whoever I like, so please go ahead.

By the way, there is one thing here I really don't like is, somebody seems like to verbally attck others by dirty words. I think it is natural if we disagree with each other, BUT we should debate or argue knowledgable and with good manner. this is also the way to respect youself as human being.

Ford is a racist for sure, and he verbally attacked chinese several times, so I strong believed We chinese Canadian should zero tolerance to racist no matter who he or she is, that's why my wife, I and many of my friends will go to vote against stupid FORD.

Besides I regarded FORD as my enemy politically for the rest of my life even though I respect his right to try to be a mayer as a human being.

Again FORD is not our chinese canadian is option for sure.

to clarify on #10 who state:"不管选谁上台，都是多伦多的加拿大公民的事情，请中国国籍的人不要干涉加国内政"

actually for municipal(city) election or even provision election, you don't have to be a canadian citizen for voting, in other words, legal permanent residence is also qualify for voting. only the federal election require canadian citizenship for voting.
